Verizon Foundation Thinkfinity Afterschool Portal

Since 2007, YouthLearn has been working with the Verizon Foundation on their on-going development of the Thinkfinity educator portal.  The portal contains more than 50,000 curricular and interactive resources developed by some of the nation's leading content experts, including National Geographic, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Smithsonium.  Specifically, YouthLearn has been consulting with Verizon on the best strategies to engage afterschool educator in the use of Thinkfinity resources.  YouthLearn has advised on the design of the afterschool section of the portal and adapted resources from the existing collection to provide afterschool ready lesson plans and demonstration project-based learning modules.
