Media Literacy & Media Culture

The most cutting-edge youth media efforts almost always include some aspect of media analysis as part of their work. Youth are often creating works that respond to stereotypes and misrepresentations of themselves and their peers. At the same time they are huge consumers of mainstream media, and they need to learn how to carefully examine the impact this media has on them and learn to be savvy consumers of information.
